You ever been upset about something, it really, really bothers you but for some reason, you don’t speak up about it?
So have I.
It’s annoying isn’t it? You see the person or persons on a regular basis but it always seems like a bad time to approach the subject. The problem gets worse and worse because they keep on doing the same thing over and over and over again that bothers you.
It gets so bad that eventually you completely spaz out on folks because you feel like you just can’t take it any more.Sure, you have “expressed yourself”, but because you didn’t “do it good”, you just made a complete idiot of yourself and now you feel bad about it. How could you be so heartless? Was your problem solved? Nope. In fact, you just made it worse because now feelings are hurt. Yes, that’s right you just hurt the people you love, all because you chose to chew the cud.Yes, you ruminated over a problem that very likely could have been addressed sooner. Much like a cow or a rabbit ruminate after they eat a meal. They regurgitate the fermented food and then they chew it all over again. For them this is a good thing for it helps them to digest their hard to digest foodFor us humans, this is not a good idea to do because of what ends up happening as illustrated above. In other words the problem has piled up and finally there is that straw that breaks the camels back. Honestly, there shouldn’t have been anything on the camel’s back to begin with. We are the ones that chose to allow it to be loaded up in the first place whether it’s because were feeling intimidated or otherwise. As a result, the problem got worse and no better. So what to do? Have honest conversations with the people you care about so that you can understand where each one is coming from. Don’t be petty, but if something is really upsetting you, then it is best to take them aside and let them know. Once you do that, at least then they know how you feel and can make the necessary adjustments. If not, then you may have to re-evaluate how much if any time you will decide to continue spending with them. Of course, this depends on just how serious the issue is in the first place. So when it comes to chewing the cud:Cut it out!!Thank you Uncle Joey.
