You Came to A BBQ Place to Not Eat Pork?

Break Room Stories

A week before Christmas, a couple came into the restaurant I work at and ordered beef brisket.  This would have been normal, had it been anywhere on the menu.  They got a little frustrated.  I asked if they saw anything else they might like.  Without looking at the menu, they ask if we have catfish.  Again, this would not be unusual, especially considering our part of the country, if it had been anywhere on the menu.  The couple, now almost fuming, proceeded to cuss me out because they were Jewish and could not eat pork.  My reaction: you came to a BBQ restaurant to NOT eat pork?
