Linux distro of the month – #CrunchBang

Lately I have been working with CrunchBang, which is a lightweight Debian-based Linux distribution. This distro is good for VM’s (Virtual Machines), Net-books, and towers with old hardware because it uses very little system resources; that being said, it still works great and performs great on a fully loaded desktop as well. My build has a AMD quad-core with 4GBs of RAM and is just absolutely lightning fast.

So you ask yourself, “where do I start?”:

I would suggest traveling to #CrunchBang.org – Choose the: Download CrunchBang link

once on the page make sure you select the correct version (32-bit or 64-bit) If you don’t know which version to choose then you can follow the lifehacker guide on 32-bit vs 64-bit guide After determining which flavor is good for your system, select the version and a drop-down box will open with the link to the BitTorrent (sigh yes BitTorrent) file…
