How to care for your new Japanese marimo moss ball

So you have a new plant buddy, what do you do next? If you are a newbie at marimo moss balls , while they are quite easy to care for there a few things you should know in order to maintain thier longevity!

First keep your marimo cold or at least cool. They do best in colder temps and tend to turn brown if they get too warm.

Squeeze your marimo out every couple days as they collect lots of dirt and after you squeeze it out put it back in the water and watch him float!

Keep the tank or bowl clean- In summer this means bi weekly water changes. In winter you can do monthly water changes.

Give some light but not direct sunlight! Some light is important but make sure it is indoor light or indirect sunlight!

Hope these tips and tricks help!Image
